KNOW
WHERE
YOU stand.

Most people going through a workplace problem spend weeks going in circles — not sure if what's happening is serious enough to act on, not sure what they're actually entitled to, not sure if they've already missed their window. WorkShield AU gives you clarity on where you stand under Australian law, and the tools to build your record while it still matters.

Redundancy Notice
Reviewing
My employer just told me my role is being made redundant, but I've seen a nearly identical job posted on Seek last week. Is this legal?
9:42 AM
This is important — act quickly. Under the Fair Work Act, a redundancy is only "genuine" if the job is no longer required and it wasn't reasonable to redeploy you. A near-identical role being advertised is a strong indicator this may not meet the genuine redundancy test.

What should I do? I don't want to accuse them of anything if I'm not sure.
9:43 AM
Smart approach. Here's what to do right now:

1. Screenshot the job ad with today's date.
2. I'll compare it to your Position Description you uploaded.
3. I'll draft a professional email to HR requesting clarification — firm, but not accusatory.

You have 21 days from dismissal to lodge with the FWC. When is your last day?

Type your situation here...

When something goes wrong at work, most Australians spend weeks going in circles.

Most workplace situations don't start as formal complaints. They start with something you can't quite name — a manager who's changed their tone, a pay discrepancy that doesn't add up, a moment when the job you had and the job you now have stopped feeling like the same thing. The most consistent advice from people who've been through it: document everything, as early as possible. WorkShield AU is the tool that helps you do exactly that.

Without WorkShield

I was told my role was redundant. Three weeks later I found an almost identical job on Seek. HR said the process had been followed correctly. I had no idea what 'genuine redundancy' meant, I didn't know I had a 21-day window, and by the time I figured it out it had already closed.

With WorkShield

Ally cross-references your position description against the advertised role, explains the genuine redundancy test under s.389, and flags the 21-day FWC window from your first day in the account.

WorkShield AU is designed for where you actually are in the situation — not just where it might end up.

If you're still in it

You've noticed something but you're not sure if it's serious enough to act on. Ally helps you understand what you're entitled to under Australian law and what to do next, without committing you to a process you haven't decided to start.

If you've already raised something

You've put something in writing or started a formal process. The Issue Tracker timestamps every incident. The Document Vault stores the correspondence. Your evidence trail builds as the situation unfolds.

If you've already left

Resignation doesn't automatically end your options under Australian law. Ally can help you understand whether your circumstances have standing under general protections, adverse action, or constructive dismissal provisions — and what timeframes still apply.

⚖️
Your rights apply everywhere you work.

The Fair Work Act and your Modern Award apply regardless of your employer's size, whether they have an HR department, or which industry you're in. WorkShield AU covers all 8 Australian states and territories, the National Employment Standards, and the major Modern Awards — for workers in healthcare, hospitality, retail, construction, education, professional services, transport, and the public sector.

Why I built this

A way forward,
not a way out.

When I think back on my own experiences with workplace issues, there was always one thing I wished I'd had — quick, accurate advice on how to navigate the problem at the time. Not hours spent after work trying to find information that actually applied to my situation. Not waiting on an email from the HR team, only to get a response that didn't really move things forward.

That's why I wanted to build something independent. A source that doesn't side with the workplace — it sides with the law. Something that takes your specific situation, applies the relevant standards and practices, and gives you a way forward. Not a way out.

WorkShield AU isn't here to replace lawyers, HR professionals, or anyone else. It's here to make sure that when you're dealing with something difficult at work, you understand where you stand — so you can take action from an informed position, whether that's internally or through the right external channels.

The same thinking is behind the GROW tools. Career development support — Skill Gap Analysis, Promotional Coaching, Résumé Building, Cover Letter drafting — has always been expensive, which puts it out of reach for a lot of people. That shouldn't be the case, and it doesn't have to be.

Simple, transparent pricing.

Most people who subscribe to WorkShield AU aren't planning to escalate anything. They're at the beginning of something — a situation that's uncomfortable but not yet critical, a pay discrepancy they want to understand, or simply a record they want to start building, just in case. WorkShield is most useful in the weeks before things go wrong, not after — when you're still deciding whether something is worth taking further and you want the documentation ready if it is. You might subscribe for three months and never need anything beyond your vault and a few conversations with Ally. That's a completely legitimate outcome. The record exists. The optionality is yours.
